   Media Breakfast to prepare complex materials for the public

Challenge

arithmetica is Austria's leading consulting company in all matters related to mathematical and statistical services. In order to consolidate and expand this position, Lang & Tomaschtik Communications was hired to increase the awareness of arithmetica outside the narrow community. The challenge: to prepare complex materials for the public.

Response

A campaign needs a face. Therefore, we decided to make the CEO of arithmetica, Christoph Krischanitz to the leader of our PR initiative. With regular media Breakfasts (4 per year) for journalists from the trade press and business papers, we present the topic Mathematics in business based vivid and interesting examples. There are issues that are comparable in the time series - for example, risk perception by gender and age - and subjects that are up to date - eg events due to environmental influences.

Results

The Media Breakfast is a fixed institution which now existed for 8 years. Christoph Krischanitz and arithmetica are anchored well in the domestic media. Journalists ask fpr his expertise, even if there is no Media Breakfast. Only in 2015 there were 48 clipping with an advertising value of almost EUR 500,000.
