Artec Group is a manufacturer and developer of professional 3D hardware and software headquartered in Luxembourg. The company approached Newell PR with a view to promote its new Shapify Booth product at commercial trade shows in Beijing, Hong Kong and Shanghai. With less than seven days to implement a media engagement programme, Newell PR quickly swung into action.
Originally the objective was to secure one media roundtable in each city but as the media outreach was so successful, the programme expanded to two media briefing sessions and two media roundtables in Hong Kong with an additional eight interviews. In China, media turnout was such that over 25 media attended a workshop in Beijing and a further 15 joined the Shanghai briefing session.
Thanks to Newell PR, over 150 print, online, video and TV clippings were generated in China and Hong Kong. The Artec Group received media coverage throughout the three trade shows and their booth was the most visited. A significant number of journalists had full body scans and their 3D “Shapies” were delivered a couple of weeks later – triggering yet more coverage as they wrote reviews or updated their original stories. According to the client: “Newell PR is giving a hard time to other agencies in other regions because of the excellent work done”.
